0530 hrs Pick up for transfer to airport for flight to Sandakan
0700 hrs Flight to Sandakan
0740 hrs Arrive in Sandakan, transfer to Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre for
Orang Utan Encounter
1200 hrs Lunch at a nearby resort
1300 hrs Depart for Sukau via road.
1530 hrs Arrive at Sri Menanggol Cabins, check in.
1600 hrs An upriver, boat ride to the Menanggol River, to appreciate the
many species of Borneo rainforest flora and fauna. Catch the
mischievous Proboscis monkeys frolicking, Orang Utan, hornbills,
and the rare Asian Pygmy Elephant and other wildlife coming
down to the river's edge.
1900 hrs Dinner

Day 03 (B/L)
0800 hrs Breakfast
0900 hrs Check out and depart for Sandakan Town. On route, stop at the
world renown bird's nest caves of Gomantong. The Asian culture
believes in the healing powers of bird's nest and watch as the local
harvesters climb high up into the cave roof to extract the nests.
Using bamboo and rattan from the forest and traditional
techniques, they fashion ropes and ladders to aid them in their
work.
1200 hrs Arrive in Sandakan town. Lunch at the English Teahouse, visit the
adjacent Agnes Keith Museum.
1330 hrs Short city tour of Sandakan, including visits to the Chinese temple,
water village and local markets.
1600 hrs Depart for airport for flight back to Kota Kinabalu
1725 hrs Flight to Kota Kinabalui
1810 hrs Arrive in Kota Kinabalu, transfer to hotel
